When you initially think of a thought, you tend to repeat that thought over and over and over, creating more thoughts. Those negative thoughts ultimately create a false and emotionally-tied thought that is completely different than your first initial thought.

When you keep repeating negative thoughts in your head, you create a motion or a vibration. That motion or vibration is then tied to that thought. So, you end up with a false story that’s not even happening at the moment.

A repeated negative thought is usually one from your past. Whether you like it or not, you’re holding on to it until it snowballs into one humongous negative feeling that drags you down.

So, if you’re feeling a negative emotion, you can actually get rid of it in just 90 seconds. You can flush away the negative thought in just 90 seconds.

Unfortunately, as humans, there is a tendency to repeat the same thought over and over, past the 90-second mark. When that happens, you end up stimulating the feeling that comes with the negative thought.

The next time you have an unpleasant thought, feel it. Acknowledge it but don’t dwell on it. Of course, that is easier said than done. So, after acknowledging a negative thought, count to 90 to simply release it.
